Philosophy & History

Charlie Crowther has been a passionate lover of pigs from an early age. He has dedicated his farm to the rearing of South Africa’s only truly pastured pork. This pork supplies a few select best Franschoek chefs, is available at The Bread and Wine Restaurant at Moresons Farm in Franschoek and at The Tasting Room at Maison, Franschoek. Neil Jewells the charcuterie King and head chef at The Bread and Wine makes bacon and charcuterie from Glen Oakes pork for The Organic Natural and Whole Food Emporium in Bryanston, Johannesburg.
